Nivvy's First Adventure
My first game is about my cat. His name is Nivvy! He loves to play and go on adventures. This is my submission for the 'My First Game Jam: Summer 2023.'

I learned a lot from Nerdy Teachers, SpaceCat, Lexaloffle because of their platformer game tutorials.
I used assets from dejotak, Gvituri, ElectricLemon, PrettyPinkPansy, Thetgi.
And Appsir Games as my biggest inspiration to make this game.
All donations from this game will be used for cat food and treats for Nivvy! <3

Like what you've done so far, like the art style and the retro feel to it. If there is any feature to add in the future it's a press button to Meow :) Not sure how you'd go about making an 8-bit meow but just a suggestion...
This was one of the things I researched for days and I can't let the code run, I know I was missing something but I was out of time already. Definitely will look into this for the next game! thankyou!
I think most of us encountered "the wall" at some point, getting sound to play in my project was a big headache in my project but we'll figure it out. Will keep a lookout for the next game!

Was a very cute game I enjoyed the concept and visuals quite a bit! I wish that the controls felt better, the player slides around too much imo and it would have been nice if you could do a smaller jump by tapping x and a longer jump by holding it. I also think the noise every time you jump gets kind of annoying, maybe a more subtle sound would be good. I really liked the level though it wasn't too hard but also wasn't too easy. Seems like you overall did a great job!

That was one of my rollercoasters when I did it. I was having a hard time making the code to work for the interaction in the environment, and I was running out of time because of the jam deadline. I will take note of this, too! meowing to humans. <3 thank you!
Dark room was tough but I enjoyed it. I really liked the cat, so few pixels but enough detail to reflect the likeness of a cat. Fantastic Job!

Any clues to jump in dark room?
there's always a way that we can get out of the dark, we just don't see them.
I tired to play it but I can't jump :(
It says for Joystick detected but I have 0.
I'm sorry for this, I don't know how to fix this, this is my first game. I also haven't testing it using a joystick.
I don't have a joystick connected, so that's why I wondered about the message that 4 were detected ^^.
